Mission
In exchange of a smile from children of Latin America our organization is dedicated to provide basic needs in health care and education.
Unidos por Latino America
History
Our organization started in 2007. We went to the Children’s Hospital and “Hogar Virgen de Fatima” orphanage. Both located in La Paz Bolivia.
In 2008 we took our donations to “Voces Libres” and “Hogar Mixto La Paz Guarderia Infantil Soria” orphanages both located in La Paz Bolivia.
In 2009 Unidos por Latino America was officially founded as a nonprofit organization in the state of Washington US.

The population of Bolivia in 2003 was estimated by the Word Factbook at 9,247,816 citizens.
Sixty percent of the population is poor, and 14 % live with less than a dollar per day.
One fourth of the population of children have poor nutrition.
Only half of the population of children finish elementary school.
More than sixty percent of the population have no access to basic needs or sanitation.

Once again with all the support from
Northwest Montessori School
we were able to raise $350.
We made 100 gift bags for
two Orphanages.
Each bag contained milk, bread,
vests, socks, scarves and hats.

Objectives for 2009
Give a better life to our Bolivian children providing them a time of happiness and hope.
Cover part of the needs from the different pathological departments of the hospital.
Provide educational and fun activities for our children.
Work together with the hospital’s staff to provide a proper use of any medical supplies donated.
